The Position:

We are seeking a motivated Business Process Analyst to support Reimbursement Operations through process improvement, workflow optimization, and business transformation initiatives. This role will partner with Reimbursement Operations, IT, and external vendors to identify operational inefficiencies, document business requirements, and implement solutions that improve productivity, quality, reimbursement outcomes, and the patient experience.

The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical and process mapping skills and has experience supporting healthcare operations. This role will help drive initiatives involving workflow automation, Intelligent Document Processing (IDP), Optical Character Recognition (OCR), Salesforce, XIFIN, Billing vendors, and system integrations that eliminate manual work and improve operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Document current-state and future-state business processes using process maps, swimlane diagrams, and workflow documentation.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis to identify operational bottlenecks, delays, and quality issues.
  • Contribute to the development of recommendations to improve efficiency, scalability, compliance, and customer experience.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to standardize and optimize workflows across Reimbursement Operations.

Business Analysis & Requirements Management

  • Gather and document business requirements for operational and technology initiatives.
  • Create process flows, business requirements documents (BRDs), user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Support prioritization of enhancement requests and process improvement opportunities.
  • Perform impact assessments for proposed operational and system changes.
  • Assist business stakeholders in defining success metrics and operational KPIs.

Systems & Integration Support

  • Assist in documenting system integration requirements and operational workflows between platforms.
  • Collaborate with IT teams, vendors, and business users to ensure solutions meet operational needs.
  • Participate in testing, validation, and user acceptance activities.

Project Support & Collaboration

  • Participate in stakeholder meetings, process workshops, and requirements gathering sessions.
  • Track project deliverables, risks, issues, and action items.
  • Communicate recommendations, findings, and project updates to operational leadership.
  • Support organizational change management and adoption of new processes.

Who You Are:

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, Healthcare Informatics, or related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in business analysis, process improvement, healthcare operations, revenue cycle, or related roles.
  • Experience documenting business processes and identifying operational improvement opportunities.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and process mapping tools.
  • Experience in healthcare revenue cycle management, payer operations, diagnostics, laboratory services, or healthcare technology.
