Sui and Alibaba Cloud have announced a strategic partnership designed to allow artificial intelligence agents to pay for cloud services automatically, without requiring human approval for each transaction. The collaboration was unveiled at Sui Basecamp, the network’s annual conference held in Singapore on October 7, 2026. Under the agreement, Alibaba Cloud’s services will be integrated into Sui Agent Payments, Sui’s toolkit for AI agent transactions. Once the integration is complete, agents will be able to settle payments for individual service calls using stablecoins. This approach marks a departure from traditional card-based checkouts, which assume that a person confirms every purchase.
