WHAT HAPPENED
Two lots of Bettergoods Authentic Italian Lemon Alfredo Fettuccine sold atWalmartstores nationwide are being recalled because the frozen pasta may be contaminated with Listeria. Gias Foods , the company that makes the pasta for Walmart’s Bettergoods store brand, announced the recall in a notice posted by the FDA. The problem was caught during routine testing by agriculture officials in Washington state and Florida, which found the finished product may contain Listeria monocytogenes, a bacterium that can cause a serious infection called listeriosis. The affected pasta comes frozen in a yellow 22-ounce plastic bag with UPC 194346442706. Check the back of the bag for one of these two combinations: lot number L6079C with an expiration date of September 19, 2027, or lot number L6080C with an expiration date of September 20, 202 7.
