Matt Beane has announced his departure from TikTok Shop, where he spent the past three years, having joined the social commerce giant from Deliveroo in 2024. In a LinkedIn post, he said: “After a brilliant few years, I’ve taken the hard decision to leave TikTok Shop and take on a new challenge. ” He added: “I joined to help launch TikTok Shop across Europe, before moving to lead FMCG in the UK. It’s been an amazing opportunity to build from the ground up, move at incredible pace and help innovate a new, discovery-based model for shopping, bringing together brands, sellers, creators and consumers in a truly innovative way. ’ “I’m particularly proud of what we built and the role we played in taking TikTok Shop from intriguing sideshow, to the fastest growing marketplace in the UK and the number one place customers discover products.
