Meta Platforms CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced a new partnership with Shopify aimed at bringing agentic shopping and checkout capabilities to Meta’s recently launched Muse artificial intelligence platform. Zuckerberg said Monday in a post on X that the Meta-Shopify partnership will “make shopping and checkout easier in Muse,” expanding the AI agent’s capabilities as Meta pushes deeper into AI-powered commerce. Under the partnership, Muse users will be able to access agentic checkout through Shop Pay across Shopify-powered stores. The integration is designed to streamline online purchases by allowing AI agents to assist users through more of the shopping and payment process. Investors responded positively to the announcement, with Shopify shares jumping about 7% on Monday.
