Nigeria’s pan-African payments company, SeerBit, has strengthened its push to connect African businesses with the global digital economy through a new integration with PayPal, allowing merchants in supported markets to accept payments from PayPal users directly at checkout. The partnership adds PayPal to payment options already available through SeerBit, including cards, bank transfers and mobile money, giving customers greater flexibility when completing online purchases. For merchants, the integration is designed to simplify payment management while improving buyer confidence and reducing shopping cart abandonment. SeerBit CEO Omoniyi Kolade described the development as a way of “bridging that gap for merchants”. He argued that trusted and convenient payment options can help African businesses potentially compete more effectively with international customers around the world.
