Starting August 24,shoppers at certain Walmart and Sam’s Club storeswill be able to buy groceries using tap to pay. stores and clubs will have tap to pay as an option by the end of 2026, with plans to expand to fuel stations by mid-2027, the company announced Friday. It wasn’t immediately made clear which stores will implement the technology first. Axiosreported that both Apple Pay and Google Pay will be supported as tap-to-pay options. In a Friday press release announcing the change, Walmart said, “We want customers and members to have choice in how they pay, so they can check out in the way that works best for them.
